New for 2014, Wilderness Tactical Products has unveiled their new Wombat Stealth Pack. A variant of the medium-sized Wombat pack designed for optimum stealth while hunting game at short distances, the Wombat Stealth Pack from Wilderness is made with with 50/50 nylon/cotton Multicam fabric on the outside and nylon lining on the inside. In addition, it is available in standard 5-inch or deep seven-inch depths, and has two utility pockets on the outside, and a hidden Velcro closure pocket. The Wombat is designed for use as a daypack, but can work for up to three days if contents are chosen carefully and packing is done efficiently.
Food — one MRE, several dehydrated meal pouches and food bars – may be stored in the large outside pouch, while the small pouch can carry small utility items. In addition, the hidden pocket is capable of housing a weapon up to the size of a Glock 19, or personal items such as wallets or keys. Each side of the pack has two 4-way patches to secure gear such as jackets, tents and bivy sacks. Meanwhile, the bottom of the pack has three 4-way patches to attach a sleeping bag or jacket. The front-opening main body is capable of opening fully to ensure quick and easy access.
The Wombat Stealth Pack features the built-in Wilderness Racking System, which can support up to three Giles Bags, four #357 Stuff Sacks or four Cocoon Stuff Sacks. Personalized gear can like ground pads, rolled up jackets, stoves or water purifiers can also be attached to the racking system.
