Normally when you see the phrase “40th anniversary box set,” it’s in reference to your favorite band from back in the day looking to recycle the hits. The just-announced Wilson Combat 40th anniversary box set, on the other hand, looks to be something different. This is an extremely limited edition set—as in only 41 will be sold—that includes a commemorative Supergrade 1911, EDC X9, Out the Front Knife and custom challenge coins, all in celebration of four decades of building high-quality firearms.

The centerpiece of the collection is the Fortieth Anniversary Supergrade 1911 in .45 ACP. Touted in the presser as “our finest work and commitment to our rich history in the refinement of the 1911,” this model boasts Mammoth Ivory Grips by Dan Chinnock, a silver bead front sight, and a high polished Baron blue finish with silver inlays. The right side of the slide has the word “Supergrade” inlaid on it. The Wilson Combat logo is inlaid behind the right rear cocking serrations, and the phrase “40 Years of Tradition” is on the left side.

The 40th anniversary EDC X9, meanwhile sports a polished stainless slide, gold bead front sight and gold inlaid markings on the slide. The words “EDC X9” are inlaid on the right side of the slide, the WC logo is inlaid on the top and “40 Years of Innovation” is inlaid on the left.

Not content with just handguns, Wilson Combat also saw fit to throw in its Out the Front knife by Hogue into the package. It features polished flats for a unique two-tone look, X-TAC grip pattern similar to the one found on the EDC X9, and “Forty Years of Cutting Edge” laser engraved on the blade.

Rounding out the Wilson Combat 40th anniversary box set is a two-piece challenge coin set and a custom fit shadow box.

The price on this isn’t listed, but you should know the drill by now when it comes to Wilson Combat: this’ll likely cost a pretty penny.
