Wilson Combat SFX9: X9 Series is a Match-Grade, 3.25-Inch Pistol

Wilson Combat just announced the release of its newest addition, the SFX9. The pistol continues Wilson’s performance-driven, solid-frame X9 series. Loaded with features, the SFX9 comes fully loaded for dependable EDC work.

The SFX9 starts with a 3.25-inch sub-compact top end. It mates with Wilson’s new SF (Solid Frame) lightweight, full-size aluminum grip frame. The frame comes machined from T6-7075 aluminum. It proves rugged, comfortable and highly concealable, according to Wilson. Light enough to carry all day, the solid frame delivers a grip shape that drastically mitigates felt recoil.

The slim, flat SFX9 also comes with the Wilson Combat X-Tac tread pattern. The system improves control with a non-abrasive, comfortable grip. Customers can also order various trigger, finish and sight upgrades. Wilson Combat also offers machining for red dot sights, keeping with carry-optics demands. The pistol also utilizes the EDC X9 magazine. It comes with a tube and follower system designed around the 9mm cartridge by Mec-Gar.

The sub-compact slide assembly includes the “Enhanced Reliability System (ERS) for 9mm 1911s. This system tailors to varying power levels of 9mm ammunition. Meanwhile, a tri-top slide profile, user-replaceable front sight, single-lug, tapered cone match-grade 1911 barrel, enhanced frame rails and user-serviceable external extractor round out an impressive package.
