The following is a press release from Wilson Combat
For those who shoot IDPA around Arkansas, the Mountain Valley Sportsman’s Association IDPA Regional has been on their radar for months. And that’s especially true for Wilson Combat Shooting Team’s new shooter Jared Phillips.

Competing in the Stock Service Pistol division, with his Wilson Combat customized Beretta 92 Brigadier Tactical, Phillips had his sights set squarely on first place. Not because it was April 1st and he wanted to prove he wasn’t joking around when it came to being a top level competitor.
And not because he was representing the Wilson Combat Shooting Team, though that did count for a lot.
No, Jared Phillips went gunning for the division title because this was not only one of the most anticipated matches of the season, but it was also his birthday. And there’s no better birthday present than posting a final score of 184.19 with just 32 points down and walking off the range with championship in hand.

“It feels good to win my first division title, especially on my birthday,” Jared said when asked what was going through his mind after receiving the good news. “It was a really fun day, not only because of the win, but also because of my teammates pulling for me through the match.”
Joining Phillips in the match were fellow Wilson Combat teammates Greg Martin, who finished High Industry and Most Accurate while placing 2nd Master in the Compact Carry Pistol division, Walt Proulx who took 1st Master in the Custom Defensive Pistol division, Austin Proulx who took 2nd Master in the Custom Defensive Pistol division, and Mandy Bachman who claimed High Lady honors with her 5th Expert finish in the Enhanced Service Pistol division.
