Windham Weaponry’s New 300 BLK & 7.62x39mm Rifles!

Windham Weaponry has really made a name for itself in just a short few years, building top-quality AR-platform weapons known for reliability and accuracy. Now, for 2015, Windham is expanding its lineup to include a new 300 Blackout rifle and one built specifically for the affordable 7.62x39mm.

Windham’s new 300 Blackout rifle, which weighs 6.95 pounds unloaded, is a semi-automatic, direct-impingement rifle with plenty of enhancements. The flattop upper and lower receivers are forged from 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. The 16-inch, medium-profile, chrome-lined barrel features a 1-in-7-inch twist rate and a Diamondhead “T” muzzle brake. Surrounding the barrel is a 13.5-inch, free-floating Diamondhead VRS-T handguard, which users can modify by adding side and bottom rails where desired. Its long Picatinny top rail mates with the upper receiver’s for a long, uninterrupted optics mounting platform. The lower receiver features standard AR controls, an enlarged triggerguard and Hogue’s beavertail pistol grip and six-position-collapsible buttstock.

The new 7.62x39mm SRC (Sight-Ready Carbine) from Windham weighs only 6.15 pounds unloaded and sports a 16-inch, chrome-lined barrel with an A2-style flash suppressor. The barrel has a 1-in-9.5-inch twist rate for stabilizing the 7.62x39mm rounds, and surrounding the barrel are M4-style handguards that help protect the shooters hand from heat. The rest of the rifle is similar to an M4, and it comes with one 30-round magazine.
