Women’s Self-Defense Class to Benefit Assault Victim

Two self-defense seminars for ladies of ages 13 and up will be hosted by Jim Curtis at the Mount Si Sport and Fitness. The seminars will be held on March 23, 2014.

Proceeds from the seminars will benefit the woman who was assaulted in North Bend on March 9, 2014. The requested donation is $35 per person. Registration is being accepted in person at the Pioneer Coffee, on North Bend.
“We hope a lot of mothers and daughters will come,” Curtis stated.

Participants should wear loose-fitting attire such as sweat pants or shorts and T-shirts and tennis shoes. Curtis has developed what he calls a practical self defense course called H.E.A.R.T., which stands for highly effective assault resistance training.
