Leupold just announced the latest update to its wildly popular DeltaPoint Pro. And this version is all about speed. The line adds a new 6 MOA dot for absolute speed in target acquisition.
Leupold DeltaPoint Pro 6 MOA
Geared toward both competitive shooters and personal defense, the larger 6 MOA dot covers more of the target. It excels at rapid, close-range target engagement, according to Leupold. The optic also delivers an incredibly wide field of view through clear glass. Meanwhile, a rugged aluminum housing and spring steel guard protects all of the internals.
“The DeltaPoint Pro is the fastest, toughest red dot on the market, and has been used to win pistol competitions around the world,” said John Snodgrass, Tactical Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “Shooters asked for a larger dot, something designed to make it even easier to get on target fast at close range. With the new 6 MOA model, we’ve delivered that in a proven package that’s designed, machined, and assembled right here in the United States.”
The DeltaPoint Pro boasts speed for those that absolutely depend on it. But it also maintains light transmission, while reducing glare. The design creates a wide field-of-view, opening up peripheral vision.
The unit also features Leupold’s battery-saving Motion Sensor Technology (MST). It puts the sight into a battery-saving standby mode after five minutes of inactivity. When the MST detects motion, it instantly activates the sight. In any event, the DeltaPoint Pro becomes ready whenever the shooter is. A manual mode allows the sight to shut off when not in use.
The new 6 MOA DeltaPoint Pro comes in both matte black and flat dark earth (FDE) finishes. For those that compete in practical pistol, or for others that want the absolute fastest optic possible for home defense, this red dot deserves a hard look. The optic retails for $399.99.
