VIDEO: Testing the Tactical Henry Big Boy X Lever-Action Rifle in 44 Mag

Henry turned heads back in January with the release of its newest rifle series, the X Line. With polymer furniture, Picatinny rails and more, the X Line looked unlike any Henry we’d seen before. Now we’ve taken arguably its most popular version, the Henry Big Boy X in .44 Rem. Mag., out to the range. And the results were impressive.

Henry Big Boy X Details

Henry knew it had something way back at the 2018 NRA Annual Meetings in Dallas. When it first showed off concept guns that would ultimately be the X Line, Henry fans responded.

“The sheer volume of positive feedback we received about the concept guns we brought to Dallas was incredible, and this type of strong feedback is what tends to drive our product development plans,” said Anthony Imperato, President and owner of Henry Repeating Arms, back in January. “It’s exciting to kick off the year with such a highly requested line of firearms and finally make these guns a reality.”

“This is like the ultimate home defense gun right here,” said reviewer Andy Grossman. “Short enough that you can maneuver, you can pull this thing through a house. It’s kind of like the shotgun, the 12-gauge shotun, you know, you rack it, that noise is the universal sign for ‘Get the hell out of my house.’ It also works with a lever-action.”

Balanced and lightweight, the Big Boy X nevertheless handled .44 recoil with ease. With the ability to take on a host of lasers, lights, optics and other tactical accessories, the Big Boy X shines as a defensive stopper. For more information, visit henryusa.com.
