Seekins’ innovative designs remain useful while providing a really nice and professional look.
When the company started building complete rifles, its attention to detail and high quality produced some of the finest AR-platform rifles on the market. I’ve tested a few of Seekins’ 5.56mm rifles along with an SBR in 300 Blackout, and they have proven to be excellent. It was really only a matter of time before Seekins Precision introduced a .308 Winchester/7.62mm NATO AR, and now the SP10 has arrived.
For the SP10, Seekins starts with upper and lower receivers that are CNC machined from a billet of 7075-T6 aluminum. These receivers are lightweight and strong, and Seekins adds its ambidextrous magazine and bolt releases.
The company’s new 60-degree ambidextrous safety selector is also included. Surrounding the 18-inch, match-grade, stainless steel barrel is the company’s SP3Rv3 handguard, which has a flat bottom that facilitates shooting from barricades, bags or other supports. The tuned, 3.5-pound trigger wrings the best possible accuracy from the system.
Finally, Seekins Precision’s proprietary buffer system houses a carbine-length buffer, ensuring a compact size with soft and reliable operation.
Watch my short video to see me put the SP10 through its paces as both an optics-equipped precision rifle and a patrol rifle utilizing a state-of-the-art Trijicon SRS.
