WATCH: First Look at the Full-Auto Umarex M1A1 Airgun Carbine

As far as airguns go, Umarex is at the top of the pack. We got an exclusive first look at a couple new offerings from Umarex at the 2019 Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous in Idaho. One we can’t talk about; the other we can. The “other” in this situation is the Umarex M1A1.

Umarex M1A1

The M1A1 is brand new for 2020. It’s an M1A1-style .177 blowback action BB Gun carbine. It’s CO2-powered with a 30 BB capacity. The 30-round magazine houses two 12-gram CO2 cartridges. It also has the option of single fire or full auto.

History plays a big part here. Part of the manufacturer’s Legends family of airguns, the new M1A1 is Umarex’s air take on the classic Tommy Gun.

Having shot the gun for an extended period of time out on the range, we can tell you it was a lot of fun. We wouldn’t know anything about the single shot option; we kept it on full auto the entire time.
