Chambered in 9mm, the PPQ Subcompact features a 3.5-inch barrel with polygonal rifling and a 1:10″ twist. It also sports Walther’s signature ergonomics along with the company’s “Quick Defense” trigger, which has a 5.6-pound trigger pull and “smooth audible resets,” according to the presser.

The gun comes with one ten-round magazine and one 15-round mag. The 15-round magazine has a grip extension sleeve that offers the control and ergonomics associated with the full-size PPQ. In addition, this pistol features small and large replaceable backstraps. The overall length is 6.6 inches and it tips the scales at 21.2 ounces with an empty magazine.

Meanwhile, the slide sports front and rear serrations for easy manipulation, and it has polymer 3 dot target sights. The rear sight is windage-adjustable. This model is similar to other PPQs in that the slide stop lever is ambidextrous and the magazine release button can change sides for southpaws.

“We are very happy to deliver this new and highly requested addition the PPQ family,” said Luke Thorkildsen, Walther’s VP of Marketing & Product Development.
