US Air Force Selects B&T APC9K Pro Sub-Compact Weapon System

B&T recently announced the U.S. Air Force selected the APC9K Pro platform. The 9mm, ultra-compact weapon system will serve specialized service and in close personal protection use by Air Force personnel.

U.S. Air Force Selects B&T APC9K Pro

“B&T is honored to have our APC9K PRO selected by the United States Air Force. We’re pleased to know that specially trained Airmen will be equipped with the finest equipment available to not only ensure their personal safety during challenging assignments, but contribute to the overall success of their mission,” stated Jon Scott, Vice President of Sales, B&T USA.

The Air Force becomes the second branch of service to purchase the APC9K. Last year, the Army selected the APC9K Pro in a $2.5 million contract. Now the Air Force selects the highly-concealable sub-machine gun. The APC9K measures less than 15 inches overall. It delivers low visibility and discreet deployment, according to B&T.

The system utilizes a hydraulic buffer system to reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise. It features functional updates including dual auto-folding, non-reciprocating and ambidextrous charging handles. An improved lower receiver includes a side-positioned bolt hold open/release. A removable M4-compatible grip and M-LOK slots provide further versatility. The system works with either Glock, SIG P320 or proprietary B&T magazines. For even more information, please visit bt-ag.ch.
