Apex Tactical Specialties makes aftermarket triggers for heavy hitters like Glock, SIG, Smith & Wesson, CZ and Walther, but it’s never made a trigger for a Ruger pistol. That’s all about to change, as the company just announced the forthcoming release of its Action Enhancement Kits for the Ruger Mk IV.

Apex Mark IV Triggers
These kits replace the Mark IV’s factory trigger and hammer with Apex components that reduce the trigger pull weight, deliver a crisp break and lessen overall trigger travel.
Each kit comes with a safety plate that maintains factory safety values, “even when put through Apex’s extensive drop-testing process which is conducted from six feet onto concrete,” the press release says. Each kit also comes with a red anodized magazine safety delete plate. When installed, this lets the gun fire without the mag inserted. Apex recommends the plate be installed for “competition purposes only.”
There are two separate kits being offered here: one for the Mark IV, and one for the Mark IV 22/45. Each can be bought either a red anodized or black anodized trigger. The MSRP on both is $89.95. Pre-orders kick off on Aug. 1, with shipping commencing on Aug. 7.
