“Winning this contract, combined with being selected as the operating contractor at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, solidifies Winchester’s position supplying small caliber ammunition to the U.S. military,” said Brett Flaugher, president of Winchester.

“Winchester has proven time and again that we can meet and exceed the exacting standards required by our military customers,” said Kevin Noonan, director of military programs and strategy. “The reason you see Winchester continue to win these contracts is because we are delivering quality, cost-effective products on time.”

Winchester assumed total management and operation control of the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant last year. The Army selected Winchester to operate and manage the historic facility in 2019. The company also landed a $38 million contract from DoD in 2020. The award called for 9mm frangible ammunition for close-quarters battle (CQB) combat and indoor/outdoor CQB training.

Winchester owns a long history of arming the U.S. Army, dating back to World War I. Today Winchester supplies small caliber ammunition to multiple law enforcement agencies and U.S. armed forces. For even more info, please visit winchester.com.
