With over 30 years behind the trigger, Brent Spicer brings hard-earned field expertise to every story he writes. A long-range shooting enthusiast, he regularly pushes rounds out to 1,000 yards evaluating rifles, optics, suppressors, and ammunition — and backs that bench time with PRS training, tactical pistol training, and serving on various security teams. His passion for the outdoors runs deep across disciplines: he's an avid hunter who has taken several mature whitetails, and he's equally at home with black powder and traditional archery. In the summer you'll find him wading a creek or paddling a river chasing smallmouth bass. Brent studied biology and business at Middle Tennessee State University, and his professional work includes outdoor writing, videography, and business consulting. He lives in middle Tennessee with his wife and three children on land he manages for wildlife.
