Bushmaster Dedicated Marksman Trigger Marks Company's Return

After running into some hard times, via the Remington Arms breakup, Bushmaster Firearms recently announced its return. A recent press release received much fanfare, leaving many shooters anticipating the return of the combat arms manufacturer. Coming out swinging, the company also released a solid new entry, the Bushmaster Dedicated Marksman 2 Stage Trigger (DM2S).

The DM2S comes on the heels of Bushmaster’s recent return to manufacturing high-quality tactical rifle platforms. Designed for competition, hunting, military and law enforcement, the DM2S provides accurate and definite trigger control.

The two-stage trigger platform provides increased accuracy by allowing the shooter to take up the slack in the trigger, before taking the final shot. Once you reach the second stage, you need very little pressure to release the firing pin. This gives the shooter a hair trigger action, without the potential hazards of a true, single stage hair trigger. If the shot is no longer viable, the shooter can release the trigger and let it return to its original position.

The two-stage trigger should make a great addition to Bushmaster’s preliminary offerings. The company intends to focus on variants of the XM15-E2S model, such as the QRC and M4 Patrolman’s. We also hear promise of the return of the ACR. A page dedicated to the ACR on Bushmaster’s website displays a silhouette with the words “Soon to be Perfected…”
