Canik is proud to announce the expansion of its acclaimed micro-compact pistol line with two new models: the Mete MC9L and Mete MC9LS. Building on the success of the original Mete MC9, which won the Concealed Carry Gun of the Year at the 2023 Industry Choice Awards, these new variants offer enhanced features for improved performance.
The MC9L And MC9LS Details
The Canik Mete MC9L and MC9LS maintain the 9mm chambering and deliver a substantial 17+1 round capacity. Both models are compatible with all standard and extended capacity Canik magazines. Key upgrades include increased grip surface for better handling and, in the MC9LS, an extended sight radius for enhanced accuracy.
The MC9L measures 6.28 inches in overall length, with a width of 1.18 inches and a height of 5.43 inches. It features a 3.18-inch barrel and weighs in at just 22.22 ounces unloaded. The MC9LS offers a longer barrel at 3.63 inches, an overall length of 6.73 inches, and an unloaded weight of 23.77 ounces.
Both models come packaged in a hard case and include two 17-round magazines, an inside-the-waistband holster, three interchangeable backstraps, a tool kit with punch, a speed loader, a pinky rest, and a cleaning kit. Initial color options for the new Mete handguns include black, flat dark earth (FDE), and two-tone black/FDE. Additionally, an optic-ready version with a Mecanik MO1 red dot sight will be available.
