The EDC-XL From C&H Optics Provides a Large-Frame Option

Like the original EDC, the EDC-XL features a rugged CNC-machined, one-piece aircraft aluminum body. As a result, the optic delivers 100% shockproof operation capable of withstanding the recoil of +P and +P+ ammunition. Likewise, a waterproof rating of IPX7 allows the unit to be submerged in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes and still operate.

Where the original EDC was designed for compact concealed carry, the EDC-XL is designed for larger pistols. Measuring 1.78in x 1.18in x 1.08in, the optic would make itself at home on competition and other full-size firearms. Likewise, it would make a solid option for optic-compatible shotguns or as a backup sight on an AR. In addition, its light weight of .8 ounces will not adversely affect your pistol’s slide cycling.

The EDC-XL is available in either 3 MOA dot or multi-reticle versions—with 3 MOA dot and 34 MOA circle. Correspondingly, the reticle is offered in either red or green with ten brightness levels (eight daylight and two night vision). Windage and elevation are adjustable with a 35 MOA range each and a click value of 1 MOA per click.

Operating on a single CR 1632 3V lithium battery, the EDC-XL delivers 50,000 hours of runtime. Likewise, C&H’s Smart Power Management system shuts down after five minutes of inactivity to preserve battery life. Correspondingly, a motion-controlled shake-to-wake feature wakes the optic when it senses motion, so it is ready when you are.

It is important to note that the original EDC features GLx or RMSc mounting options. However, the larger EDC-XL utilizes the RMR footprint.

The C&H Precision Weapons EDC
