GIVEAWAY: Win a Dirty Harry 44 Magnum S&W Model 29 Revolver

As part of the April/May 2021 issue of Ballistic Magazine, we had the custom gurus at Outlaw Ordnance go to work on a Smith & Wesson Model 29 Revolver, also know as the Dirty Harry .44 Magnum. Now we’re giving one lucky reader the chance to take it home. But what into the build? Well, quite a bit.

The Custom Dirty Harry .44 Magnum Build

When Outlaw Ordnance received the theme for our “Custom Challenge,” they went right to work. One designer watched all of the “Dirty Harry” films and took notes on the best quotes, images, and more. The design team then went back and looked over the data. After that, the design team discussed the process with the machine department until the two had a design that worked for everyone.

The finished product is wild. One side of the barrel features the famous question, “You’ve gotta ask yourself a question: ‘Do I feel lucky?’ Well, do ya punk?” while the other side of the barrel features the quote, “Go ahead — make my day.”

Then there’s the cylinder, which features all of Dirty Harry’s on-screen appearances, including: “Dirty Harry,” “Magnum Force,” “The Enforcer,” “Sudden Impact,” and “The Dead Pool.” On top of that, it also features the Ballistic and Outlaw Ordnance logos. If you look close enough, there’s another quote beneath the cylinder. It reads: “This here’s a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and it can blow your head clean off.”

Lastly are the grips. Each side features an iconic shot of Inspector “Dirty” Harry Callahan. The detail on this gun is truly spectacular.
