EOTECH G43 & G45 Optic Magnifiers
Featuring a switch-to-side mount, with locking, adjustable, quick-detach lever, the magnifiers have an ambidextrous design, to accommodate shooter preference. The magnifiers are quickly snapped into place behind the optic when needed and out of the way when not required.
Both magnifiers allow for tool-free adjustment of the vertical and horizontal alignment for easy reticle centering. The adjustable diopter also quickly adjusts focus to suit the shooter’s eye. However, unlike many red dot magnifiers, the EOTech optic magnifiers do not increase the size of the dot.
“The biggest advantage the magnifiers offer with a Holographic Weapon Sight is that the dot size doesn’t change when viewed with magnification” said Mark Miller, Product Manager for EOTech. “The target enlarges, but the dot remains 1MOA providing greater accuracy. This is different from red dots because their dots will grow in size at the same rate as the target, so no additional precision is gained.”
While both magnifiers share many similar specifications, the most notable difference is in the magnification. Where the G43 provides 3X magnification, the G45 features 5X magnification. However, although it only has magnification of 3X, the G43 offers a slightly wider field-of-view for enhanced situational awareness.
With water-resistance to 33 feet and operating temperature range of -40°F to 140°F, both magnifiers are built to withstand any operating environment. Their lightweight and compact design also ensure that they will not add undo weight to your rifle, especially when switched to the side.
