FLIR Introduces Breach, ThermoSight Pro Monocular & Riflescopes

FLIR Systems is introducing three new thermal imaging products: the Breach PTQ136 multifunctional thermal monocular; ThermoSight Pro PTS536 thermal riflescope; and ThermoSight Pro PTS736 thermal riflescope. All three are powered by the company’s uncooled, 12-micron Boson thermal camera core, offering clear and crips thermal imagery in durable, compact, lightweight housings.

FLIR Breach PTQ136

The FLIR Breach PTQ136 is geared toward hunters and tactical professionals. It weighs in at 7.4 ounces. In addition, it’s concealable in a pocket or mountable to a helmet via its mini-rail feature. This model offers clear images, onboard recording and seven palettes for fast detection of suspects or evidence any time of day.

The Breach also produces a 1280×960 viewing resolution on its FLCOD HD display. It’s capable of recording and storing up to 2.5 hours of video and 1,000 still images. Furthermore, it comes with a built-in digital compass and inclinometer, as well as a USB-C port for external power. MSRP: $2,495.

FLIR ThermoSight Pro

Meanwhile, the FLIR ThermoSight Pro thermal riflescope series offers enhanced object detection and classification in the field and clean imagery in any lighting condition. Both new models feature on-chip video processing and an uncompressed video signal fed directly to a 1280 x 960 FLCOS display. Also included in both models is a 60Hz video refresh rate; 320×256 thermal resolution; USB-C connectivity; user-controlled imaging palettes; image enhancement filters; built-in digital compass and inclinometer; and shot-activated onboard recording for 2.5 hours of video storage or 1,000 JPEG images.

The FLIR ThermoSight Pro PTS536 sports a 50mm lens; 4x optical magnification; and 4x digital zoom. The FLIR ThermoSight Pro PTS736 has a 75mm lens; 6x optical magnification; and 4x digital zoom. Designed for hog hunters, predator hunters and tactical pros, the FLIR ThermoSight Pro PTS536 and PTS736 are priced at $3,795 and $4,795, respectively.
