Frontier Tactical Brings Modularity to its FT-15 Series of AR Rifles

Florida-based, veteran-owned Frontier Tactical has announced its FT-15 series of ARs and receivers. The rifles are available in two different configurations: the FT-15 Entry Carbine and the FT-15 War Lock Entry Carbine.

The FT-15 Entry Carbine is an optic-ready, entry level AR that includes a few upgrades but leaves it otherwise ready for further modification. It comes standard with a 16″ 5.56/.223 barrel with 1/8 twist and A2 compensator. Also included is black Magpul MOE furniture; low profile gas block and mil-spec parts. The lower is marked “MULTI CAL.” This is the base model for future multiple caliber builds, the company says.

The FT-15 War Lock Entry Carbine is the upgraded version and comes with the War Lock Multiple Caliber System installed from the factory, with no additional assembly required.

As the press release notes, the War Lock Multiple Caliber System is the heart of this modular weapon platform. The War Lock replaces the barrel nut on an AR-15. Once installed, the AR-15 is capable of firing over 90 calibers by changing components like the barrel assembly, bolt, magazine, etc. After initial installation, no tools are required and caliber changes happen in a matter of seconds.

Both models come with 7075-T6 forged receivers and an enlarged ejection port to allow cycling of big-bore cartridges like the .450 Bushmaster, .458 SOCOM and .50 Beowulf.

MSRP for the FT-15 Entry Carbine and War Lock Entry Carbine is $800 and $1200, respectively.
