H-S Precision’s PLR Gives Hunters Long-Range Accuracy

H-S Precision prides itself on one thing — the very thing it’s named for: precision.

Long-range shooting requires as much precision as possible, which is where the all new H-S Precision Model PLR (Professional Long Range) rifle comes in.

The Pro-Series 2000 action is made of stainless steel with a detachable, center-feed magazine and an adjustable trigger with a range of 2-5 pounds. The rim surrounding the bolt face of the PLR is uninterrupted and completely encircles the case rim 360 degrees.

The Model 70-type 3-position safety of the PLR withdraws the firing pin from contact with the sear. Scope ring base holes are drilled and tapped for 8-40 screws, which are far stronger than the production standard 6-48s.

The PLR’s magazine box is Teflon-coated stainless steel, as is the rest of the barreled action.

Designed with prone-position shooting in mind, the PLR’s stock features a vertical grip and ambidextrous palm swell for superior trigger control. An elevated cheek weld provides for a more natural eye alignment with the scope’s optical center. A full-length aluminum bedding chassis and a wide, flat oval forend with dual front swivel studs complete the Pro-Series Kevlar and carbon fiber-reinforced composite stock.

Chamber for any long-action caliber up to a .458 Lott, the PLR packs plenty of punch.

The stress free 10X cut-rifled barrel is of light varmint contour, tapering down to .750 inches at the 26-inch muzzle. The larger diameter barrel of the PLR provides added stability and better heat dissipation. Fluting is standard, as is a threaded muzzle with protective cap to accommodate an optional brake.

The PLR is available in a choice of stock color, barrel length, long-action calibers and coatings. Complete package rifles are also available that include optics, rings and bases, hard case and load data information.

Choice of optics include Nightforce, Leupold, Swarovski and Zeiss, all of which can be provided with ballistic turrets or reticles based on customer preference.
