Hi-Point P-Series: Large-Format Pistol Takes on Model 995 Carbine

MKS Supply recently announced the release of a new Hi-Point P-Series of large-format pistols. The 995P, 45P and 1095P deliver compact, high-capacity pistol-caliber platforms capable of accommodating a wide array of optics, lasers, lights and other accessories for a full defensive system. These large-format pistols deliver on a wide range of applications, including defense, sport shooting or in a pack or truck.

Hi-Point P-Series Pistols

The 995P comprises a pistol variant of the highly-popular Model 995 Carbine. The pistol design utilizes the same magazines as the 995 Carbine, making it a practical choice for those carrying that pistol. It also accommodates the RedBall 20-round magazine, providing extended 9mm firepower when you need it most.

The 4595P looks much like the 995P, but it brings increased stopping power chambered in .45 ACP. It uses the same magazines as the Model 4596 Carbine and JHP45 pistol, making it highly versatile. Like the 995P, the 4595P accommodates the RedBall 20-round magazines for extra capacity.

The 1095P runs the same magazines as the Model 4595 Carbine and JHP45 pistol for greater versatility. However, this gun won’t accept the RedBall 20-rounders.

Platform Features

Each pistol design aims to enhance the shooting experience with a host of user-friendly upgrades. Hi-Point plans to offer various kit options with Crimson Trace optics in the near future. HiViz Fiber Optic Front Sights provide a crisp sight picture in various lighting conditions. It pairs with a Ghost Ring Rear Sight for fast target acquisition. A Picatinny rail insert along the rear of the gun enables the attachment of a folding brace. The rear also accommodates a buffer tube acceptance, inserted when the Picatinny rail is removed. This feature allows for fodldng, telescoping, or fixed braces for greater flexibility.
