For those of you who live in the restrictive (as it pertains to gun laws) state of California, Kahr Arms has announced that three of its CW9 9mm pistols are now California legal: The CW9 in a Black Carbon Fiber frame, the standard CW9 with a front night sight, and the Cerakote Burnt Bronze model.

All three of these CW9s feature a 3.6-inch barrel, an overall length of 5.9 inches and a height of 4.5 inches, according to the press release. Each weighs just 15.8 ounces. In addition, these handguns offer a trigger cocking DAO, lock-breach, “Browning-type” recoil lug and a passive striker block with no magazine disconnect. The magazine capacity is 7+1.
First up is the CW9093BCF. This Black Carbon Fiber print variant features a textured weave that provides a 3-D appearance to the 9mm, while also providing a textured grip. MSRP is $495.
The CW9093N features a stainless steel slide and a black polymer frame. It includes a drift adjustable white bar-dot combat rear sight and a pinned polymer front night sight. MSRP on this one is also $495.
Lastly, the CW9093BB features Kahr’s popular Cerakote Burnt Bronze finish, which the company says “always turns a few heads at the gun range and has proven to be the top choice of many shooting enthusiasts.” It’s available at a suggested retail price of $482.
All three California legal CW9 models are available for CA gun dealers to buy from authorized Kahr Firearms Group wholesalers.
