Kimber 1911 Texas Lonestar: Scheels Unveils New Limited .45 ACP Pistol

There’s one Kimber that’s found itself on a lot of people’s “must have” 1911 list for 2020: The Kimber Rapide Black Ice. However, there’s another 1911 you might have missed and it’s only available for a limited time: The Kimber Texas Lonestar.

Kimber 1911 Texas Lonestar Details

A lot of the initial appeal with the Rapide Black Ice focused on aesthetics. It’s a nice looking 1911, to say the least. The new Kimber Texas Lonestar pistol is no different when it comes to aesthetics.

The new pistol, obviously a tribute to the Lone Star State, comes from a limited run courtesy of Scheels. It features fine engraving throughout, including a top strap star, and special serial number; that’s probably the first thing that stands out, along with the 24K inlaid gold. The slide itself is stainless steel. It also features rear fine line cocking serrations.

The Kimber Texas Lonestar features a stainless steel, match-grade barrel. It also features western scroll, antiqued pewter grips; that’s another standout feature as far as looks go. They’re pretty comfortable too. Lastly is the aluminum match-grade trigger. It has a factory setting of between 4 and 5 pounds.

Overall, we’re looking at another fine Kimber 1911. But what exactly does that translate to in cost? The Kimber Texas Lonestar comes in at $1,699.99. Specs are below. For more information, please visit Scheels.com.
