Magpul Bipod-Sling Stud QD Features Direct Sling Stud Mounting

A lot of rifles come with sling studs, but many shooters also want to mount a bipod. Now numerous companies produce bipods that fit on sling studs, but the Magpul Bipod-Sling Stud QD might be the most fully featured bipod available with direct sling stud mounting.

To start, Magpul designed it to mount to the very common Uncle Mike’s Sling Swivel Stud. In fact, this bipod uses a new rapid-attach sling stud mounting system that removes the aligning and tightening issues with traditional sling stud-mount bipods. The stainless-steel mounting system self-locates and aligns perfectly, while an ergonomic thumb wheel ensures easy tightening. It even comes with two sizes of high-durometer rubber mounting gaskets to optimize fit and load distribution regardless of forend wideness. It also comes with a low-profile sling stud on the rear of the mount. This allows shooters to add a sling for easy carrying.

Features of This Bipod

This new Magpul bipod comes with all of the features available on the existing line. As such, it has spring-tensioned, Mil-Spec hard anodized 6061-T6 and injection-molded reinforced polymer legs. These legs stow forward and lock into place with one hand. The leg extensions lock securely in seven positions extending from 6.7 to 10.0 inches. It also has 50 degrees of tilt controlled by a knurled, tool-less, bipod locking knob located between the extended legs. This allow easy adjustment between shots.

Additionally, its staggered soft rubber feet hold fast on a variety of shooting surfaces and are easily removed with a roll pin punch. The unit measures 2.3-inches deep and 3.3-inches wide when folded.

With its numerous features and strong construction, this bipod makes a useful addition to rifles. And it comes from a company with a great reputation for quality.
