Marine Corps Police Academy Special Reaction Team (SRT) Training

Marine Corps Police Academy Special Reaction Team (SRT) Training is underway at Camp Lejeune.

A military police SRT requires specialized training and certification with certain weapons in order to ensure they are fully capable to respond to any threat or critical incident aboard an installation, such as an active shooter or a hostage situation.

“Our goal is to be able to meet the special response law enforcement requirements of our Marine Corps installations so we can quickly and decisively respond to any threat,” said Maceo Franks, the executive director of Marine Corps Police Academy East.

A fully capable SRT requires a cover team, which is essentially a sniper element.
