One of the most formidable home defense weapons available today is the shotgun. However, not everyone can handle the recoil of a 12-gauge scattergun. For this reason, Mesa Tactical collaborated with KynSHOT on a shotgun recoil buffer that boasts up to a 90% decrease in recoil.

Mesa Tactical Shotgun Recoil Buffer

Constructed of military-grade materials (such as aircraft-grade aluminum) and processes, the recoil buffers contain Mil-Spec hydraulic fluids and seals. As a result, they promise long life and excellent recoil reduction. Likewise, they are certified to operate at temperatures ranging between -30F – +150F. And, when in place, they boast recoil reduction of up to 90%, according to the company.

The recoil buffers are available in two different models, adjustable and non-adjustable. In the non-adjustable model, the buffer is set permanently at the medium-damped setting for a 70% recoil reduction. The non-adjustable model can fit any Mil-Spec style thread on the Mesa Tactical shotgun adapter or any tactical shotgun. Likewise, it can also be used with any Mil-Spec style collapsible stock.

The adjustable model also fits any Mil-Spec style thread on the Mesa Tactical shotgun adapter, tactical shotgun, or Mil-Spec style collapsible stock. It comes with three adjustable damping settings (low- medium, and heavy). As each adjustable setting is increased, the damping force increases by approximately 15% from low-damped to heavy-damped.

Any Mesa Tactical telescoping stock can be upgraded with a KynSHOT recoil buffer, either adjustable or non-adjustable. The hydraulic recoil buffer replaces the receiver extension tube, converting the stock into a recoiled-buffered stock assembly. And the best part is that no gunsmithing is required for installation.
