Dundee Village Manager David W. Uhl told Monroe News the suspect walked into the BP Gas Station at around 6:12 a.m. and announced a robbery, lifting his shirt to imply that he had a gun.

Fortunately, the quick-thinking, 60-year-old clerk sprang into action and pulled out a .45-caliber handgun. He then pointed it at the robber, who suddenly got cold feet and fled the store. As Fox 2 Detroit reports, the clerk is a concealed carry permit holder.

Unfortunately, that was just the beginning of the suspect’s crime spree. Shortly after the aforementioned incident, he robbed a BP gas station in nearby Milan. After that, he went to Pittsfield Township and robbed a Circle K convenience store.
