The Limited Mossberg 500 Centennial Shotgun Is Stunning and Only $900

Mossberg is celebrating the company’s 100th anniversary this year and recently announced a new shotgun to help commemorate the milestone. The Mossberg 500 Centennial pump-action shotgun, chambered in 12 gauge, features engraving, special logos and more.

The Mossberg 500 Centennial features a nickel-plated receiver engraved with the Mossberg 100th Anniversary logo. The anniversary logo adorns the right side of the receiver, while the left side features a flushing ruffed grouse. The game scene utilizes 24-karat-gold highlights.

Mossberg says it will make only 750 500 Centennial pump guns. Additionally, each comes with a special serial number that incorporates a unique prefix, used only for the special production run. Best part? Mossberg set the MSRP at just $910.

Other Features

Like all Mossberg 500s, the Centennial works off non-binding twin action bars for smooth and reliable operation. Dual extractors, a positive steel-to-steel lockup and anti-jam elevator are Mossberg hallmarks. An anodized aluminum receiver and the company’s ambidextrous top-mounted safety also come standard. Mossberg has sold more than 12 million 500s to date over the 50 years of production, making this Centennial a fitting tribute to this milestone anniversary.

The Centennial also features a traditionally-style, high-gloss walnut stock and forend. The furniture comes with fine line checkering on the pistol grip and also wrapping around the underside of the forend. A classic red rubber recoil pad completes the timeless look.

Inside, a distinctive jeweled bolt catches the eye, while a gold-plated trigger and attractive high-polished blue metal finish complement the high-gloss wood. The 28-inch vent rib barrel comes with Mossberg’s interchangeable ACCU-CHOKE choke tubes, including Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder.
