New Tactical, Standard Models Added to Ruger Mark IV Pistol Lineup

The Ruger Mark IV pistol line continues to expand with the addition of three new models, bringing the total number of offerings to a whopping 13.

First up is the Ruger Mark IV Tactical, which features a 4.40-inch barrel with a 1/2″-28 thread pattern for adding a can like the company’s Silent-SR. The pistol also features fully adjustable sights and factory-installed upper and lower Picatinny rails in case you feel the urge to add lights, lasers and other accessories.

Ruger is also introducing two Mark IV Standard pistols, both of which boast a tapered barrel and a natural pointing grip angle. One version has a 4.75-inch barrel, while the other comes with a 6-inch barrel. Fixed sights are also included.

All three of these models feature a one-piece, CNC-machined grip frame. As with all the other pistols in the Ruger Mark IV lineup, one of the main selling points of the Tactical and Standard guns is the one-button takedown for fast and easy field-stripping; ambidextrous manual safety; and a redesigned bolt stop for a more ergonomic operation. According to the press release, magazines drop free upon release for faster reloads, and a redesigned magazine disconnect stops discharge when the mag is removed.

The MSRP for the Ruger Mark IV Tactical is $569, while the two Standard models retail for $449. Each model ships out with two 10-round magazines.
