Patriot Ordnance Factory (POF-USA) has announced the forthcoming release of their new American Patriot Tomahawk. Made from D2 tool steel, this tomahawk is nitride heat-treated and deep-fluted, resulting in a lightweight (1.5 pounds) corrosion-resistant blade. The American Patriot Tomahawk has a pointed beard, an impact spike opposite the blade (which makes it ideal for throwing), cross-cut saw blades along the back, and a strike point handle which is wrapped in Type-III (MIL-C-5040H) two-tone paracord which also has a slip knot wrist strap tied in. In addition, it comes with a custom quick-release sheath manufactured by Bladetech. The sheath has a locking snap tab and MOLLE strap attachments.
The American Patriot Tomahawk by Patriot Ordnance Factory has roots in the American Revolution. As POF-USA points out, US colonial troops had limited options in terms of weaponry when facing off against the British Empire, which at the time possessed the world’s strongest military. Many Patriots used a ready blade as their go-to weapon in the heat of battle. Eventually, the Tomahawk became the CQB weapon of choice for Minutemen during the American Revolution. The American Patriot Tomahawk manufactured by Patriot Ordnance Factory is a continuation of that proud tradition.
Similar to all other products manufactured by Patriot Ordnance Factory, the American Patriot Tomahawk is 100% made in the USA. The manufacturers suggested retail price for this product is $269.99. It is currently available for pre-order and will begin shipping by the middle of May.
