Rock Island STK100: Striker-Fired, 9mm Pistol has an Aluminum Grip

Rock Island Armory just announced its newest pistol, a collection of features demanded by shooters that want to go fast. The Rock Island STK100 blends of rigid frame and aluminum grip into a 9mm, striker-fired platform. The pistol brings a collection of high-end, steel-framed features within a polymer budget.

Rock Island STK100 Pistol Details

The aluminum grip makes the platform more durable, according to Rock Island. Competition shooters will likely appreciate the reduction in felt recoil. A stiffer platform, the STK100 should provide a great base to build race guns. Reduced flex in the frame also promises more accuracy.

Chambered in 9mm, the STK100 features a 17-round magazine capacity. Meanwhile, an extended beavertail delivers an angled feel, drawing from the company’s experience with 1911s. For many, it will provide a more natural point of aim. Keeping with current trends, the STK100 also comes optics-ready. The slide accommodates mounting accessories, coming compatible with aftermarket parts.
