Rock Island Armory just announced its newest pistol, a collection of features demanded by shooters that want to go fast. The Rock Island STK100 blends of rigid frame and aluminum grip into a 9mm, striker-fired platform. The pistol brings a collection of high-end, steel-framed features within a polymer budget.
Rock Island STK100 Pistol Details
The aluminum grip makes the platform more durable, according to Rock Island. Competition shooters will likely appreciate the reduction in felt recoil. A stiffer platform, the STK100 should provide a great base to build race guns. Reduced flex in the frame also promises more accuracy.
Chambered in 9mm, the STK100 features a 17-round magazine capacity. Meanwhile, an extended beavertail delivers an angled feel, drawing from the company’s experience with 1911s. For many, it will provide a more natural point of aim. Keeping with current trends, the STK100 also comes optics-ready. The slide accommodates mounting accessories, coming compatible with aftermarket parts.
“We think shooters are going to be excited about the STK100,” said Armscor President and CEO, Martin Tuason. “It really does give shooters all the advantages of metal for the price of polymer. It’s perfect for recreational shooting, self-defense, and even law enforcement, which makes it incredibly versatile.”
Everyone in competition shooting is always looking for an edge. And a platform that brings a little less flex, with a solid frame, makes shooting a bit easier for about anyone. Priced at just $599, the STK100 represents a cool mix of concepts and components. We look forward to getting rounds downrange with one soon.
The Rock Island STK100 retails for $599. For even more info, please visit armscor.com.
