The fruitful collaboration between Viridian and Ruger continues with the announcement that the former is now accepting orders for a new line of laser and light accessories for the just-released Ruger LCP II pistol.
“Viridian has been working closely with Ruger for quite some time in anticipation of this very exciting new firearm,” said CEO/President of Viridian, Brian Hedeen. “Our engineering and R&D teams have done an excellent job developing a phenomenal new line of laser and light accessories for the LCP II. As Donald Trump might say, it’s going to be HUGE!”
According to the press release, Viridian is coming out of the gate with three products available for the Ruger LCP II, all of which are designed and built upon their Reactor product family. Each of these products comes with a free holster and features the company’s ECR Instant-On activation, which means the laser or light will automatically ignite (if desired) when drawn from the holster. Here’s what’s just been announced:
- R5 – LCP II Green laser model [MSRP $239]
- R5-R – LCP II Red laser model [MSRP $149]
- RTL – LCP II Tac-light model [MSRP $119]
Green laser sights are Viridian’s bread and butter. They launched the first green laser sight for the Ruger LCP back in 2013, and they’re still the only company to offer a green laser for that handgun. With the new Ruger LCP II, they hope history will repeat itself.
These new products are expected to ship in the latter half of Q4.
