The SilencerCo Scythe-Ti: Just in Time for Hunting Season Prep

It’s time to start thinking about hunting season again. Partly because it is only a few months away but mostly because we like thinking about hunting season all year. Fortunately, SilencerCo has just the thing for this year’s hunt with its new Scythe-Ti titanium suppressor. Not only is it freakishly lightweight, but it also cools much faster than steel.

The SilencerCo Scythe-Ti Suppressor

Featuring a full titanium construction, the Scythe-Ti is the company’s first all-titanium suppressor. Likewise, it features a Type II anodized finish and is rubbed with oil for additional durability and wear resistance. Correspondingly, the anodized finish is on both the outside and inside to reduce common sparking that comes with titanium.

The Scythe-Ti includes the new single-port anchor brake, which helps mitigate recoil and provides additional sound suppression. Likewise, it ships with a custom titanium direct thread mount in 5/8 x 24, helping to maintain its light weight. Forgoing the typical wrench flats, the Scythe-Ti includes a special tool that threads onto the top of the suppressor for easy detachment.

At just over six ounces with a length of under six inches, it’s rated for calibers up to .300 RUM. However, it is optimal for 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, .300WM and .300 BLK. According to the company, when used with the ASR Mount, it’s the quietest suppressor SilencerCo has tested on .300 WM.

Additionally, the Scythe-Ti has no barrel length restrictions and cools down much quicker than steel. As a result, it is much easier to handle after shooting. Although it is not rated for full-auto fire, it is semi-auto-rated.

The Scythe-Ti pairs with Bravo accessories and mounting systems.

“When we started our testing for the Scythe-Ti, we were aiming to dominate the titanium market in minimal weight and length,” said SilencerCo Product Manager Andrew Herbst. “We were happily surprised when we found out that the Scythe-Ti also dominates in sound suppression. Overall, it’s a very well-rounded suppressor.”

Availability

The SilencerCo Scythe-Ti will be shipping later this month with an MSRP of $1,174.00. For more info, please visit SilencerCo.com.
