The SOG Knives One-Zero XR

Sporting a sleek, flowing form factor, the 3.1-inch drop point blade follows the lines of the grip for natural ergonomics. Likewise, the sculpted aircraft-grade aluminum handle features hidden fasteners to add to the clean profile. Additionally, the use of aluminum handle material helps keep the One-Zero to a very lightweight 3.9 ounces.

Constructed of cryo-treated CPM S35VN, the blade provides a great balance between hardness, corrosion resistance, and toughness. As a result, this provides a keen edge to the .10-inch-thick blade stock, with decent, workable edge retention. Considered high-end steel, CPM S35VN is an excellent choice for EDC blades.

Measuring 4.7 inches closed, the One-Zero sits comfortably in the pocket via the reversible deep-carry skeletonized pocket clip. The folder can be opened utilizing either the elongated thumb hole or by releasing the XR locking mechanism. Once open, the One-Zero comes to a full 7.8-inches overall length, where it is held in lockup via SOG’s XR lock.

The XR lock uses a sliding transverse bar to lock the blade and is accessible from both sides of the handle. While in lockup, the XR lock is able to withstand up to 1,500 pounds of force, according to the company.
