Springfield SAINT Victor – 300 Blackout Pistol

The Springfield Saint Victor line of rifles has proven to be exceptional since it hit the shelves. Earlier this year, Springfield went to work on the line and gave it several upgrades that made it even more popular. In that line, they have a great 5.56 and .308 versions that I have tested and enjoyed. Today, they are adding to the line with the Springfield SAINT Victor 300 Blackout Pistol.

SAINT Victor .300 BLK 9.5″ AR-15 Pistol

Engineered for durability and performance, the SAINT Victor .300 BLK Pistol delivers purpose-driven features in a lightweight, rugged package. Forged 7075-T6 receivers offer exceptional strength without added weight, while the continuous tapered barrel enhances heat distribution and rigidity. A 9310 enhanced bolt carrier group and pinned gas block work together to ensure consistent, repeatable cycling. The flat-faced, nickel boron-coated trigger offers a smooth, responsive pull for confident shot control. Up front, the free-floated handguard features a full-length top rail and ample M-Lok real estate, ready for lights, grips, and other accessories. With seven integrated QD cups, the Victor is built to run right out of the box.

Beneath the free-float aluminum handguard is a 9.5″ 4150 CMV continuous-taper profile barrel with a nitride finish, which keeps the gun compact.  Like previous models, the new Victor features a Radian Raptor-LT charging handle. Machined from 7075 aluminum and over-molded with high-strength, fiberglass-reinforced polymer, these provide ambidextrous functionality. Rounding out the package in the new rifles are B5 Systems P-Grip pistol grips, 45-degree ambidextrous safety levers, and low-profile aluminum flip-up sights. Brace-wise, Springfield went with the SB Tactical SBA3 Brace. This adjustable stabilizing brace features a minimalist design and an ambidextrous QD sling socket.

Early Look

Springfield was kind enough to send a gun out for me to test drive, and I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I have long been a fan of 300BLK, and when it is put into a compact gun like this, I am in heaven. The only additions I made to the gun were mounting a Trijicon MRO SD with magnifier, and one of my favorite suppressors, the Huxwrk Ventum 762. While not one of their newest suppressors, it has served me well, and it would be great on this new pistol.

Since I was going to be running suppressed, subsonic ammo would make things even better. My choice of ammo for these range sessions was Hornady 300 Blackout 190 gr Sub‑X Subsonic. Springfield was kind enough to tell me that the gun, like any short-barreled weapon, might have an ammo preference when running suppressed. I found the Hornady ammo to work well with this package, and it was ridiculously quiet.

Dynamic Testing

Testing began with the standard stand-and-shoot at steel at various ranges. However, you and I both know that a sexy little shooter like this is calling for something a little more dynamic. In my mind, this is a solid personal defense weapon or truck gun. With that in mind, I moved my car into position and ran drills from inside the car and while exiting.

To say that the Springfield SAINT Victor 300 Blackout Pistol did well would be a massive understatement. I fell in love with this solid pistol, running one of my favorite rounds. I would absolutely use this gun in my vehicle or in a home defense setting. It is compact, easy to maneuver, and has the excellent performance I have seen in previous SAINT rifles.

While I may sound like a broken record, Springfield has done an exceptional job of taking the great features of their SAINT line and wrapping them into this compact shooter. If you want a compact AR-style pistol that still easily manages a 30-caliber round, the Springfield SAINT Victor 300 Blackout Pistol needs to be on your list.
