You know that feeling when your fire a rifle for the first time and it’s absolutely amazing? Sean Utley does, and he just experienced it with the Tikka T3x TAC A1.

For “Ballistic’s Best,” we’re recognizing the top handguns, rifles, shotguns and more in a given year. Winners will be announced when the magazine hits newsstands in May 2018.

Utley is a judge for the bolt-action rifles category, which is where the Tikka T3x TAC A1 comes into play.

Tikka T3x TAC A1 Reaction

“Holy s—, this f—– shoots!” he yells after firing his first round. Utley immediately apologizes and then sits in awe of the rifle.

Utley also had a little fun with the video, dubbing the original cut with an “Instagram-friendly” version, which mirrors the edits of a bad R-rated movie on cable TV.

“While some gun reviewers try to contain their excitement when they shoot a good group, I on the other hand do not,” Utley says. “I figure I’m experiencing what the eventual buyer will, and I love it. I want to walk away from every range session feeling like a rockstar and there’s nothing like a gun that surprises you with great out of the box performance. I’ve always heard good things about Tikka and it appears to be warranted.”
