There are arguments and discussions every day about what we need in our kit. One item that everyone can agree on is a knife—and not just any knife. We need a blade that is strong, reliable, and holds an edge well. One of the best places to find that is with Zero Tolerance.
Zero Tolerance Knives – Two New Blades
The Zero Tolerance brand first appeared in 2006 when they saw a place in the market for a Made-in-USA line of hard-use knives. These knives would need to meet the needs of professionals in the military and law enforcement, as well as other first responders, such as firefighters and emergency medical personnel. The initial products were combat knives, but since then, the line has expanded to include a variety of general-use and premium knives. Today ZT announces the release of two new premium blades.
The New Cru-Wear Fixed Blade
First up is their newest fixed blade. The new Cru-Wear fixed bladed is designed to be a workhorse. It is designed to slice and chop through the toughest outdoor and bushcraft challenges. Its clip-point blade uses premium Cru-Wear, a tough and easy-to-sharpen steel in the field. The knife comes with an easy-to-control canvas micarta handle, which is 3D-machined and contoured for your hand. The design allows you to use an Allen wrench to strip the knife down for easy cleaning and reveal the skeletonized steel tang, ready for paracord wrapping.
Carry the 0004 in multiple configurations using a Kansas-made, saddle tan leather sheath, storing the ultimate tool for your journey. The full grain, vegetable-tanned saddle tan leather sheath allows for left/right belt and scout carry. It also has Tek-Lok compatibility. The Cru-Wear is a full-tang design with Cru-Wear steel which provides superior edge retention, toughness, and ease of sharpening. ZT has used a dark bronze Cerakote coating for added blade protection from the elements and use. MSRP is $280.00
The New Titanium Automatic
The next knife in the new lineup is the Titanium Automatic. This knife from Zero Tolerance is a premium gentleman’s folder with an automatic action. Deploy the auto by pushing the stylish, trapezoid-shaped button. A drop point blade rockets into the open position, revealing a two-tone MagnaCut blade. This premium blade steel excels in edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, and the modified clip-point blade features a slicey flat grind. The strong and lightweight titanium handle includes carbon fiber inserts on both sides for an elevated look. Finally, blue-anodized titanium tube spacers add a pop of color. From work on the job to your best-dressed occasions, carry the 0556 auto.
The knife has a trapezoid-shaped push-button for easy opening. It also has a reversible extra-deep-carry pocket clip that provides a convenient, low-profile carry. It can be set to either the left or right side. Lastly, Zero Tolerance bronze finishes it with an anodized pivot screw. MSRP is $360.00
