FN America recently announced a five-year, $10.6-million contract awarded by Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to produce M240 receivers.

M240 MG Receiver Assemblies
The contract calls for complete M240 receiver assemblies, with the indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery contract expected to be fulfilled by 2024. The contract supports the U.S. Army, with all work performed in Columbia, SC.
In April, FN announced a five-year, $9.9-million contract to supply machine gun barrels to the military. That contract sends machine gun barrels to the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force. The contract is for an indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery, with work slated to end by 2024. FN says it will produce all barrels in the company’s Columbia, South Carolina manufacturing facility.
Just last September, FN won a contract to Supply USSOCOM with MK 46, MK 48 Light Machine Guns. That award valued $13.4 million and included spare parts and engineering services.
Eighty-five percent of that work was announced to take place at FN America’s Columbia, S.C. facility as well. The other 15 percent will be performed in Herstal, Belgium. The expected completion date is August of 2023. Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane is the contracting activity here.
