In honor of Czechoslovakia’s 100th Anniversary, Česká zbrojovka, parent company to CZ-USA, created a one-of-a-kind pistol. The company built and donated a special edition CZ 75 B, dubbed the CZ 75 Republika, auctioned off in May.

The CZ 75 Republika brought 500,000 Czech crowns, or approximately $41,500 US. All proceeds from the auction benefited charities representing Czech soldiers, police and firemen.
“The results of this auction exceeded all our expectations,” said President of the CZ Group SE holding, Ing. Lubomír Kovaík, MBA. “The proceeds will be divided between the Military Solidarity Fund and the Police and Fire Service Foundation. We are very happy to lend our support to those people who serve the citizens of Czechoslovakia so very well and so tirelessly.”
The CZ 75 Republika comes as the first in a limited edition of 100, adding to its value. Based on the all-steel CZ-75B SA/DA, the Republika features a high-gloss blued frame and slide. The frame includes 24-carat gold inlay, along with an engraved linden branch, a national symbol in Czechoslovakia.
The magazine release, hammer, trigger and safety also feature 24-carat gold plating, as do the extractor and grip panel screws. Meanwhile, the right side of the frame boasts a coat of arms used by the country between 1920-1928. Meanwhile, the left side of the pistol’s frame features the inscription “Pravda Vitezi,” or “truth prevails.
To date, more than 1 million CZ 75 pistols have been manufactured. The CZ 75 B, first designed in 1975, features a steel frame, black polycoat finish, 3-dot sights and 16+1 9mm capacity. The platform see use for duty, competition and concealed carry.
