Magpul’s PMAGs are some of the most popular AR magazines available, especially among professionals. PMAGs are simple, rugged, reliable and reasonably priced. There really is no better choice for a mil-spec 5.56mm NATO magazine, and the latest generation, the PMAG M3, continues this legacy with important improvements.

The new PMAG 30 AR/M4 GEN M3 will work in more non-standard M4 weapons. The M3’s overtravel stop prevents over-insertion, and its improved follower and internals ensure smoother operation with non-standard calibers. Floorplate improvements enable the use of a slimline replacement or the proven Ranger floorplate. The paint-pen dot matrix on the bottom panel allows the user to mark it for identification. The M3 incorporates new material technology and manufacturing processes for enhanced strength, durability and reliability to exceed rigorous military performance specifications.

RANGE TESTING

During testing, the PMAG M3s functioned flawlessly in various 5.56mm rifles, during both semi- and full-automatic fire. They inserted and functioned in an HK416 without issue and operated perfectly with my 300 Blackout rifle over a 100-round test. Even the 125-grain Remington 300 Blackout ammunition worked without a hitch. Tough and reliable, the M3 now works in more systems and will only bolster the PMAG’s excellent reputation. Many bet their lives on these magazines, and the latest generation is certainly up to the challenge.
