SIG Sauer just launched the latest addition to its popular line of TREAD rifles, one sure to turn some heads. The new SIG TREAD Snakebite SE blends a unique array of high-grade components to deliver a package capable of fulfilling multiple roles.
SIG TREAD Snakebite SE Details
The Snakebite SE starts with a unique flashhider/compensator component upgrade. The combo maintains minimal flash and reduced muzzle rise.
“We have a hybrid compensating flashhider,” said Patrick Hanley, Rifle Product Manager, SIG Sauer. “That’s right, this allows you to have the flash-suppressing ability while also having compensating in the top here to allow for reduction in muzzle rise.”
Meanwhile, a two-stage Matchlite trigger delivers an ultralight trigger pull. Featuring a flat-blade design specific to this model of the Snakebite, the trigger should help keep shooters on target.
The heart of the rifle then comes via a high-temperature FDE Cerakote-finished barrel. Measuring 16 inches in overall length, it features a 1:7 twist for stabilizing some of the popular, heavier 77-grain bullets on the market.
A PDW grip, SLK stock, ambidextrous controls, and free-floating handguard with M-LOK attachment round out the complete rifle package. Like all SIG TREAD models, the new Snakebite SE works with the full line of TREAD accessories. For even more info, please visit sigsauer.com.
