Century Arms continues to push the boundaries of the AK platform by collaborating with John Sharps of Sharps Bros on a new milled receiver AK47, the MB47. The MB47 is the latest in Century Arms’ line up of the US made AK47 platform! Century Arms has been producing US made AK47 rifles since 2011 and is the largest importer and manufacturer of the platform in the United States.
Century Arms MB47 Details
The MB47 features a case-hardened billet 4140 milled receiver with manganese phosphate finish and optic ready side mount. Every MB47 receiver starts its life out as a 15lb solid block of steel. It is then milled down to become the 2lb receiver for the MB47. This process removes all of the flex from the receiver, and the firing cycle, which leads to a much more accurate rifle.
It is chambered in 7.62×39 and ships with a US Palm 30-round magazine. The MB47 is outfitted with premium components. These include the all-new US Palm free float MLOK handguard and grip, Ultimak gas tube rail, RAK-1 enhanced flat trigger, chevron compensator, 5/8×24 thread fluted and chrome lined chrome-moly 4150 steel 16.25” barrel, and a Magpul DT carbine stock w/ AR15 mil-spec buffer tube.
“When it came to next steps for Sharps Bros, we wanted to partner with Century who we saw as someone who had a generational amount of experience,” said John Sharps of Sharps Bros. “So it was a perfect collaboration opportunity, and two years later, we have the MB47 rifle.” Through this collaboration, the MB47 shows how Generation Meets Innovation!
Priced Right!
The standard version of the MB47 will be competitively priced at an MSRP of $1,699.99. For more information visit centuryarms.com
