What better way to celebrate four decades in the firearms industry than by doing what you do best? That’s the approach Wilson Combat is taking with the release of its 40th anniversary limited edition pistol dubbed the CQB Elite.
40th CQB Elite Details
Designed for carry, this CQB Elite model boasts a five-inch carbon steel slide with the words “40th Anniversary” and “1977-2017” engraved on the left side, and “Wilson Combat” on the right side. Meanwhile, the grips are handcrafted desert ironwood with sterling silver medallions, offering up a quality fit and finish.
The pistol is fully loaded with a host of in-house parts, including a five-inch, stainless steel, match grade cone barrel with a flush cut reverse crown; full-size carbon steel frame; 30 LPI high cut checkered frontstrap; ambidextrous safety; round butt, one-piece machined magazine well; and “Bullet Proof” magazine well.

Also included in the package is a Battlesight rear sight and green fiber optic front sight; 30 LPI slide top serrations; a 40 LPI serrated rear of slide; front and rear cocking serrations with the Wilson Combat logo behind the left rear cocking serrations, and the 40th anniversary logo behind the right rear serrations; ball endmill cuts; 3 ½ pound to 4 ½ trigger pull; closed-end support plug with “40A” engraved on the cap; and a fluted chamber and barrel with black flutes.
Availability
Available in .45 ACP (8-round capacity), 9mm and .38 Super, the Wilson Combat CQB Elite run is limited to 400, with specialized serial numbers WC40-001 through WC40-400. Weighing in at 38.3 ounces unloaded and 47.2 ounces loaded, the pistol also measures 8.7 inches in overall length and 5.6 inches in height. The width is 1.3 inches and the sight radius is 6.6 inches.
The MSRP is $3,900 for the .45 ACP version. The 9mm and .38 Super versions have an MSRP of $4,010.
