American Gunsmithing Institute (AGI) Announces New Armorer’s Course on M1A Rifles

American Gunsmithing Institute (AGI) is offering a new Technical Manual & Armorer’s Course on the design, function and repair of the M1A rifle taught by armorer and international military firearms expert John Bush.

“The M1A is a powerful gun with a rich history. We’re glad that John Bush was able to help us create this comprehensive course. We really feel that it will help any gun lover to truly know, appreciate and be able to repair this fine rifle,” Gene Kelly, president and founder of American Gunsmithing Institute, said in a press release.

Through this new course, you can learn how a M1A rifle is designed, how it functions, and how to disassemble and reassemble. You’ll also learn how to clean and lube the rifle, as well as how to perform common repairs. Bush also goes over how the lock-up, feeding/extraction/ejection cycle, gas and fire control systems work. The differences between National Match guns and standards will also be discussed. Finally, this course includes a look at the evolution of the M-14/M1A, beginning with the M1 Garand through to today.
