Inland Manufacturing, the Ohio-based company that bases its name on the legendary Inland Division of General Motors but is a completely separate outfit, has an interesting new compact offering in the pipeline for 2018: the M30 IMP (Inland Motor Patrol) pistol.

Chambered in .30 Carbine, the Inland M30 IMP is fitted into a Inland/Sage Mil-Spec black anodized aluminum pistol chassis. It features an Ergo Sure pistol grip and is designed to accept any ATF-approved pistol stabilizing brace that uses a AR-style pistol buffer tube. The M30 IMP also sports a seven-and-a-half-inch threaded (½-inch x 28 tpi) barrel which comes with a thread protector. The overall length of the pistol is 16 inches. It weighs in at four-and-a-half pounds. The front sight is M1 Carbine style, with an adjustable ghost ring aperture rear sight.
“These new features combine to make the Inland M30 IMP Motor Patrol Pistol a fun, efficient, compact, robust, intimidating looking and accurate handgun suited for personal defense. The Inland M30 IMP is legally defined as a handgun making it an excellent choice for carry in a vehicle,” Charles Brown, the president of MKS Supply—the company that represents Inland—said in a press release.
The M30 IMP ships out with one 10-round magazine, but like all Inland .30 Carbine firearms, the magazine catch fits higher-capacity military and civilian magazines. In the presser, Inland is careful to point out that the you should check local and state laws regarding the legality a handgun magazine capacity larger than 10 rounds.
The MSRP for the Inland M30 IMP is $1399.
