Magpul’s Tank-Tough New PMAG D-60 & 17 GL9 Magazines For 2015

Magpul has revolutionized the gun world with its PMAG line of polymer-based magazines. Now, for 2015, the company has released two new magazines that are once again making waves. First up is the PMAG D-60, a drum magazine built for 5.56mm NATO rifles with reinforced polymer construction, making it ready to handle any tough abuse you can dish out. It’s also easy to disassemble for service and cleaning.

The PMAG D-60 holds 60 rounds, and while you might think it’d be hard to defeat the spring tension once you get close to filling it up, Magpul has included an ingenious ratchet mechanism that lightens the spring tension for easier loading. Finally, the D-60 is compatible with many aftermarket loading devices, and a bolt-hold-open feature is included for faster running and gunning on the range or battlefield.

As its name implies, Magpul’s new PMAG 17 GL9 is built for Glock 17 pistols. Like OEM magazines, the PMAG 17 GL9 holds 17 rounds of 9mm ammo, but in a reinforced polymer shell that is highly durable and easy to clean. The magazine is also to disassemble for cleaning and maintenance, and a fully loaded indicator toward the base shows operators when the magazine is full. More features include a high-quality, corrosion-resistant, stainless steel spring; an anti-tilt, self-lubricating follower; and a removable floorplate with paint-pen dot matrix panels. The PMAG 17 GL9 is compatible with all generations of Glock 9mm pistols.
