MDT HNT26 Chassis System for Remington 700 Medium Actions

It’s no secret that the Remington 700 action is a staple in the hunting world due to its proven reliability. As such, numerous aftermarket and custom options have been offered over the years, letting hunters build their perfect rifle. And now, MDT adds the Remington 700 medium action compatibility to its HNT26 chassis system for the ultimate lightweight hunting companion.

The MDT HNT26 Chassis System for Remington 700

Constructed of a magnesium alloy chassis base, the HNT26 features a carbon fiber buttstock, forend, and grip. As a result, the chassis weighs a lightweight 26 – 31 ounces, depending on selected buttstock and forend options. Likewise, the HNT26 is available with a folding or non-folding buttstock, providing extra portability options for the long trek.

In addition, the carbon fiber touch points on the chassis remove the “cold to the touch” feeling on cold mornings. When it comes time to touch off the round, the foam-filled carbon buttstock dampens vibration and felt recoil. Correspondingly, the vertically adjustable foam cheek riser ensures the perfect cheek weld for enhanced accuracy. Likewise, four MDT buttstock spacers allow users to dial in the length of pull.

The carbon fiber MDT pistol grip is ergonomically designed for a hand-filling purchase and is replaceable with any MDT pistol or vertical grips, as well as AR-15-style grips. Compatible with AICS magazines, mag swaps are quick and intuitive via the low-profile mag latch integrated into the trigger guard.

The carbon fiber enclosed forend features two M-LOK slots on both sides and the bottom and top. In addition, an optional integrated ARCA rail is also available for use with tripods. The front sling swivel mount couples with the rear sling swivel mount for additional carry options.

Although the HNT26 has been available for Remington 700 short and long actions, this is the first time it is available for medium actions. The chassis utilizes v-block bedding to enhance stability and provide greater accuracy.

The HNT26 was tested on Zermatt Medium, Lone Peak Medium, and Defiance XM Plus.

If you don’t have a Remington 700, the HNT26 is also available on Savage short and long actions, as well as Tikka T3/T3X short and long and Tikka T1X.
